Server Setup

How game servers work in CS2 Map Veto.

CS2 Map Veto supports two server modes. Managed Server is the recommended mode: the site chooses an approved free server, loads the match data, and gives players a Join Server button when the veto finishes.

Manual Server is connect info only. You can enter a server IP:port and optional password so players can join, but match data is not loaded for manual servers.

1 Choose a server mode

2 Run a managed match

  1. Sign in with Steam (top-right). Managed matches require Steam identities.
  2. Create Lobby → choose Managed Server.
  3. The site chooses an approved free server automatically.
  4. Players join the lobby (all signed in), then Randomize Teams and run the veto.
  5. On the results screen you'll see ✓ Match loaded → everyone clicks Join Server.

3 Use a manual server

  1. Choose Manual Server.
  2. Enter the public server IP:port and optional connect password.
  3. Run the veto. The results screen will show Join Server, but match data is not loaded automatically.

4 Match stats

🚧 In development. Match stats are currently intended for matches loaded through Managed Server.

5 Managed servers

Managed Servers are currently limited to trusted servers operated by CS2 Map Veto. For partnership or private community hosting questions, contact contact@cs2-veto.com.
